January Diet Experiments

I am going to attempt to make these things over the course of January. I'll be using low fat/ low cal/ low sugar and salt substitutes for things, however.


New Year’s Good Luck Meal: Cabbage brings Money!
Pork and sauerkraut with mashed potatoes

Week 1:
Chard and fettuccine
Beef and veggie stew

Week 2:
Rosemary chicken with veggies
Spaghetti with meat, mushrooms, and eggplants

Week 3:
Salmon with cucumber sauce
Curry with potatoes, carrots, apples and pears over sticky rice

Week 4:
Chicken and shrimp, vegetable-medley stir fry
Beef gyro* (if I feel adventurous and can find good pita; if not, it will become healthy sandwich and lentil soup week!)


Snacks:

Hard-boiled eggs
Fresh fruit salad

Sugar-free jello
Tuna and shell pasta salad

Raisin and nut mix
Every-left-over-vegetable salad with oil-lemon-garlic-vinegar dressing

Carrot and celery slices
Cottage cheese with peaches
